In Ronda you can enjoy a tour between monuments and nature, bullfighters and bandits, but above all a charm that you will not miss. We offer you a Free Tour through its alleys so that you do not leave without seeing the impressive Tagus gorge, the history of Ronda and its legends. We will wait for you at the Paseo Blas Infante, from where we will start our route from the impressive New Bridge to obtain the spectacular views of the Tajo de Ronda and its hanging balconies as an emblem of the city, located in a gorge more than 150 meters deep. From the landscape you can also highlight the mountains that bathe the horizon, the Serranía de Ronda. From the bridge we can see a gorge more than 100 meters deep over the Guadalevín river, this being the point of union between the historic area and the new city.
With this Tour you will be able to know the essential places of the city visiting the historic center, its most emblematic monuments, the Celtic, Phoenician, Roman and Arab vestiges. We will visit the most significant civil monument in Ronda, the Palacio de Mondragón. Although we will also see the Palacio del Rey Moro, the Fuente de los Ocho Caños, the Church of Padre Jesús, the Arab Baths, the Palace of Salvatierra, the Minaret of San Sebastián, the Church of Santa María la Mayor, and many more. We will discover the impressive monument-sculpture of the bull of Lidia next to the Plaza de Toros, and it is that Ronda has been characterized as the first bullring in Spain and in carrying out the transformation of recreational bullfighting into profession. For this reason, we will constantly see sculptures that recall the world of the bull, such as the tributes to Antonio Ordoñez, Cayetano Ordoñez or Pedro Romero. But not only are these some of the characters that we will meet, but also singers like Aniya la Gitana, or travelers who were surprised by the richness of Ronda. You will know the character of the city through the looting, theft and rebellion that these lands have suffered from Roman times through bandits.
All this and much more will bring you closer to the bowels of a city unique for its natural characteristics and for the history that it carries behind. We will wait for you! Enjoy your holidays with us.
