Cordoba Free Tour

The Free Tour in Córdoba came from the hand of our company at the end of 2013, being the first Free walking tour that operated in the city. This free guided tour with more than 2.5 hours will allow you to know what was the origin of this wonderful city, what civilizations inhabited it and with which of them Córdoba reached the time of greatest cultural splendor.

The Free tour of Córdoba begins its journey in the Plaza Tendillas, a place where people from Córdoba congregate to celebrate the most important events in the city. From this square we will travel to Roman Córdoba visiting the wonderful Roman Temple, the Plaza de la Corredera and the Plaza del Potro.

During the Free Tour of Córdoba we will also talk about our most important monumental building: the Mosque of Córdoba. But do you think we’re going to tell you this story anywhere? Of course not, we will do it from the very patio de los Naranjos.

We will continue learning the history of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, a place where our most famous explorer, Christopher Columbus, requested the necessary resources from the Catholic Monarchs to embark on what became the discovery of America. In addition, in this fortress the Catholic Monarchs settled in the last stage of the Spanish reconquest, and from here they directed the campaign against the Kingdom of Granada.

To end this complete Free Tour of Córdoba, we will enter the magical neighborhood of the Jewish quarter, where the Synagogue and the municipal Souk are located.
